REGISTER NOWThe Pain People exclusively utilises the revolutionary Stimpod system; a non-invasive pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) system. After a comprehensive clinical evaluation, your therapist can identify a nerve that is responsible for pain symptoms, and utilise PRF to locate and stimulate the cellular metabolic activity of a neuropathic nerve - which in many cases causes the nerve to recover back to its normal function. PRF Systems are non-invasive, non-drug solutions that have no side effects, and often provide rapid onset of action at a fraction of the cost and time of comparable treatments. A number of clinical studies have shown instant and dramatic relief of chronic intractable pain.
After you've registered an account with your chosen Pain People therapist, you'll have access to your own private dashboard where you can arrange an appointment at your convenience.
Your Pain People practitioner will use the information you have provided during your registration to formulate an intial diagnosis and help to locate the appropriate nerve stimulation site on your body.
Finding the nerve requires your practitior to use a non-invasive pen-like stimulation probe. This process entails moving the pen around the skin surface whilst an electrical pulse is delivered. Depending on your condition, the sensation of the electrical pulses can vary from ‘no sensation’ to a sensation similar to a light pinprick.
While searching for the nerve, your Pain People practitioner will adjust the current to best accommodate your level of comfort. After locating the nerve, you might feel a sensation referring down the path of the nerve along with a contraction of the muscle which is supplied by the treated nerve.
Your Pain People practitioner relies on your feedback to find a current intensity which is most comfortable for you. If the stimulation site is too sensitive, please inform your practitioner so that he/she may find a more suitable treatment location.
At this point, your practitioner starts the treatment which typically lasts around five minutes per site of treatment, during which you are exposed to a sequence of light electrical impulses traveling directly and exclusively along the targeted nerve.
Upon completion of the session, most patients experience significant improvement. In some cases, there can be a delayed effect.
Pain is part of the body's defense system, producing a reflexive retraction from a stimulus, and tendencies to protect the affected body part while it heals, and avoid that harmful situation in the future. It can be a highly distressing feeling and a person can sometimes be at a complete loss to determine how, why or even where the pain is present.
